Sydney, Australia - 10 March 2022
This week Sydney has been flooded and dragged through the mud, in a literal sense. Monitoring from the comfort of my own home, I read the news of flooding and cars floating by as if they weighed nothing by the water was scary. A lot of people have lost their homes and belongings. With properties damage still being counted as we speak. I saw on social medias and the news of how my local supermarket's ceilings caved in by water from the constant non stop rain we have had the past two weeks. I was not excluded from the trauma either, my balcony's ceiling was leaking and after seeing all the videos of how ceiling collapsed because of water damage, my anxiety was through the roof. But nothing I could do at that moment. So as usual I distracted myself with work. Here are some of the works I did a couple days ago, in the height of my anxiety. A splash of color to distract from the constant grey and depressed mood . You can click on the image to shop for art prints or visit our shop for the latest artworks.
